Visit Tweetsie Railroad in Blowing Rock, ride the train and enjoy family friendly fun. The historic heritage drama Horn in the West, and adjacent Hickory Ridge Living History Museum are both minutes away in Boone.

Perfectly Peaceful Getaway
Wonderful stay! From the moment you pull into the driveway you feel at home. Our girls loved the swing in the front yard. The cabin is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. We also loved the location as we found a ton of stuff to do while we are there. Boone is 15 minutes away... 30 mins away, calm water tubing. Tons of hiking and downtown Banner Elk was adorable with ice cream and an arcade. They did have a water issue downstairs while we were there but we adjusted our sleeping arrangements and it did not hinder our stay. The management company is wonderful with this property. The grocery store is supper close (8min drive) so we grilled out and cooked most meals. Our favorite memory from the trip: After our morning hike we took a picnic lunch up to an overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway and it was stunning! All in all... I would definitely recommend this property if you are looking for a mountain getaway vacation.
